Harp world loses a legend

The harp world mourns the loss of harpist, art historian, and fierce champion of the harp, Roslyn Rensch Erbes (Noah), on November 6, 2021 in New York City.  Born in 1923, Ms. Rensch Erbes authored multiple texts on the history of the harp including in 1950,  The Harp: from Tara's Halls to the American Schools;  The Harp: Its History, Technique and Repertoire (1969), and Harps and Harpists (1989), revised edition published in 2007. An extended tribute to her life as a musician and author will be included in the Winter 2022 The American Harp Journal
