We will be treated to performances by this year’s Finzi scholarship recipients. Drinks and light refreshments will be served.
This year, we’re thrilled to have Cristina Montes Mateo as our guest performer.
Unanimous 1st Prize winner at the “Torneo Internazionale di Musica” (Rome) and the International Harp Competition “V. Bucchi”, Cristina Montes Mateo has also won four more international competitions, as well as numerous national awards.
She has appeared as a soloist with major orchestras and has performed at many festivals. She was selected by Lorin Maazel as Principal Harp of the Valencia Opera House Orchestra (Spain), where she spent more than a decade. In March 2024, she won the position of Principal Harp of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. She is also a regular guest with the Munich Philharmonic, Staatsoper Berlin, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Los Angeles Philharmonic.
